Fear Can Cause Limitations

Fear can prevent you from making positive changes.

Sometimes fear can make even the smallest changes seem extremely uncomfortable.

For example, you may be deeply dissatisfied with your job, but feel nervous or uncertain about finding and applying for a better one.

Living under constant threat has serious health consequences.

Fear weakens our immune system and can cause cardiovascular damage, gastrointestinal problems such as ulcers and irritable bowel syndrome, and decreased fertility.

You may get irritable, have trouble sleeping, develop headaches, or have trouble getting on with work and planning for the future, and might lose self-confidence.

It can lead to accelerated ageing and even premature death.

Remember that every time you put yourself in a situation you find difficult, no matter how big or small, it’s a step towards reducing your anxiety, feeling more in control and overcoming your fears.
