Being Thankful

Heavenly Father, I come to you as humbly as I know how.

I confess my sins, known and unknown.

Lord you know I’m not perfect, and I fall short everyday of my life.

I just want to take time out to say thank you for your mercy and your grace.

Thank you for my health, my family, my friends, the roof over my head, food on my table, and everything I have. Amen.

Proverbs 31 Woman

Proverbs 31 provides a detailed metaphor of feminine wisdom in the context of a family and a community.

The most quoted section, verses 10–31, is a chiastic poem, that is, a poem that cycles through repeated thoughts in a particular order.

The chapter speaks of the worth of a good wife to her husband, the manual labor that she does, her fulfillment of responsibilities to those who need her, her ability to provide for her family, and her wisdom in caring for herself.

The ideal woman is virtuous, strong, and selfless. She does not wait to be served but rises early, even before sunrise, to delegate tasks and engage in business.

Lemon Water Benefits

Lemon water is all the rage these days.

Many restaurants serve it routinely, and some people start their day with lemon water instead of coffee or tea. There’s no doubt lemons are great for adding citrus flavor to food and drinks, but are there any benefits to adding lemon juice to your water?

Much of the evidence supporting lemon water’s health benefits is anecdotal.

While lemons contain nutrients, like vitamin C and antioxidants, the nutritional value of a glass of lemon water depends on how much lemon juice it contains.

Making sure you’re drinking enough water every day is crucialTrusted Source for overall health — but not everyone likes the taste of plain water. Using lemon juice to add some flavor to your water may help you drink more.

Drinking water helps prevents dehydration, a condition that can cause:

  • brain fog
  • mood changes
  • overheating
  • constipation
  • kidney stones

According to the Institute of Medicine, general guidelines say women should get at least 91 ounces of water per day and men should get at least 125 ounces. This includes water from food and drinks.

Just 4 Fun 5

Can’t believe what I saw in McDonald’s today. An old man placed an order for one hamburger, French fries, and a drink.

He unwrapped the plain hamburger and carefully cut it in half , placing one half in front of his wife.

He then carefully counted out the French fries , dividing them into two piles and neatly placed one pile in front of his wife.

He took a sip of the drink , his wife took a sip and then set the cup down between them. As he began to eat his few bites of hamburger , the people around them were looking over and whispering.

Obviously they were thinking , ‘That poor old couple – all they can afford is one meal for the two of them.’

As the man began to eat his fries a young man came to the table and politely offered to buy another meal for the old couple. The old man said , they were just fine – they were used to sharing everything..

People closer to the table noticed the little old lady hadn’t eaten a bite. She sat there watching her husband eat and occasionally taking turns sipping the drink.

Again , the young man came over and begged them to let him buy another meal for them. This time the old woman said ‘No , thank you , we are used to sharing everything.’

Finally , as the old man finished and was wiping his face neatly with the napkin , the young man again came over to the little old lady who had yet to eat a single bite of food and asked ‘What is it you are waiting for?’

She answered
‘THE TEETH’. ”😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍

Cold & Flu Season

You can get a cold year-round, but most people consider the winter months to be common cold season. The viruses that cause colds also spread more easily just after a drop in temperature and humidity.

Generally, this means the United States’ cold season starts sometime around September and ends sometime around April.

Typically, adults get between two and four colds per year with symptoms like:

  • Runny nose.
  • Stuffy nose.
  • Sneezing.
  • Cough.
  • Sore throat.
  • Chest congestion.
  • Watery eyes.

Flu season begins in the Fall when the weather gets colder and flu cases start to spike. It generally ends in late spring.

While for some people, the flu is a minor illness that can be treated at home, other people can have severe complications that lead to hospitalizations and death.

There is no fixed date for the start of the flu season. Instead, flu season is characteristically marked by the winter months coming in and the weather cooling down.

Unfortunately, it can continue through May. If you’re a senior citizen, you could be at a higher risk for the flu.

The influenza virus attacks people with vulnerable immune systems like seniors and young children.

Influenza may circulate lightly through populations throughout the entire year, causing a few infections, but winter weather triggers the flu to be exponentially more active.

Sneezing is a way for your body to expel dirt and debris that may have gotten through your nose’s mucus membranes, your first line of defense against inhaled irritants. When these sensitive mucus membranes are irritated, they protect you by causing you to sneeze.

There are many factors that can cause sneezing. Some common causes of sneezing include the cold or flu, allergies, nasal sprays, dust, or air pollution.

March To The Beat Of Your Own Drum

Be very careful when following the masses sometimes the “M” is silent.

Don’t blindly follow anybody because people in large groups tend to be stupid and the media only tells you what they want to tell you to further their agenda.

Educate yourself.

To do something, act, or behave in a manner that does not conform to the standard, prevalent, or popular societal norm.

Trust Him

Maybe you lost a loved one.

Maybe someone you respect disappointed you.

Maybe your child received a hard diagnosis.

Maybe your job title shifted, which has shaken your identity.

Maybe reality has deflated your high expectations.

Maybe you made a decision you regret.

Maybe you’ve found yourself questioning God.

Maybe someone you love walked away.

Maybe you put your whole heart into something or someone, but it didn’t go how you hoped.

Though it might seem hard to believe, God can use it all.

The good and the bad.

The polished and the messy.

The planned and the unsettled.

The clear and the misunderstood.

The encouraging and the hurtful.

God can work everything together for good. This doesn’t mean that everything will be good, or that everything will work out the way we want or expect. After all, we live in a broken, messy world.

God can use it all—including the things you can’t comprehend—in ways you can’t begin to fathom.

Even when you can’t see Him at work in your life. Even when hope seems lost. Even when things don’t seem to be going your way. Even long after you’re gone.

In everything, you can trust in Him.
