Working Together 🐝

Love this…. 🤗

My dad has bees.🐝Today I went to his house and he showed me all of the honey he had gotten from the hives. He took the lid off of a 5 gallon bucket full of honey and on top of the honey there were 3 little bees, struggling. They were covered in sticky honey and drowning.

I asked him if we could help them and he said he was sure they wouldn’t survive. Casualties of honey collection I suppose.

I asked him again if we could at least get them out and kill them quickly, after all he was the one who taught me to put a suffering animal (or bug) out of its misery.

He finally conceded and scooped the bees out of the bucket. He put them in an empty Chobani yogurt container and put the plastic container outside.

Because he had disrupted the hive with the earlier honey 🍯 collection, there were bees flying all over outside.

We put the 3 little bees in the container on a bench and left them to their fate. My dad called me out a little while later to show me what was happening.

These three little bees were surrounded by all of their sisters (all of the bees are females) and they were cleaning the sticky nearly dead bees, helping them to get all of the honey off of their bodies.

We came back a short time later and there was only one little bee left in the container. She was still being tended to by her sisters.

When it was time for me to leave we checked one last time and all three of the bees had been cleaned off enough to fly away and the container was empty.

Those three little bees lived because they were surrounded by family and friends who would not give up on them, family and friends who refused to let them drown in their own stickiness and resolved to help until the last little bee could be set free.

Bee Sisters. Bee family. Bee Peers. Bee Teammates. ❣️

We could all learn a thing or two from these bees. 🐝 🐝 🐝 I love this story.

Confidence You Can Cling To

If the Creator and Sustainer of everything that exists has put Himself on our side, who can be against us? Who can even touch us? Who would even think about picking a fight that they ultimately could not win?

Someone might hurt our feelings or even our bodies, but they cannot touch our souls.

They cannot come against the living God and succeed.

They cannot turn against God’s chosen people without answering for their decisions.

This means that whatever wrong has been done to us can be left in God’s reliable hands.

We can rely on God as our just Defender and our righteous Judge.

When we become His by trusting in Jesus as our Savior—by grace through faith—the strongest defense in the universe, God in His fullness (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), is forever on our side.

Hispanic | Latinx Heritage Month

Posting Late

A month (September 15–October 15) in which the people of the United States honor the achievements of Hispanics.

September 15 was chosen as the starting point for the commemoration because it is the anniversary of the independence of five Hispanic countries.

Each year, Americans observe National Latinx Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.

The observation started in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a 30-day period starting on September 15 and ending on October 15.

Be Still

When God fights our battles; we do not have to anguish, be anxious, or be discouraged when bad things happen in our lives.

When it seems a situation is hopeless or the matter at hand is too overwhelming, we may be tempted to doubt God.

But we must remember that no problem is beyond the scope of God’s sovereign care for His children.

He has promised to take care of us (Philippians 4:19), make good plans for us (Jeremiah 29:11), and love us beyond measure (Romans 8:37–39).

New Edition – If It Isn’t Love

New Edition is an American R&B/Pop group from the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 1978 by Bobby Brown.

Their name is taken to mean a ‘new edition’ of the Jackson 5.

The group reached its height of popularity in the 1980s.

The lineup originally consisted of Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Bobby Brown, Ronnie DeVoe, and Ralph Tresvant.

Brown left the group in late 1985 to begin a successful solo career, and they continued as a quartet for one album, before adding Johnny Gill to the lineup in 1987.

Early hits included “Candy Girl“, “Cool It Now“, and “Mr. Telephone Man“.

Tresvant was the lead singer on most of the songs.

In 1990, both Gill and Tresvant released their own solo albums, while the remaining three members formed the trio Bell Biv DeVoe; the group ceased to work together for the first half of the 1990s.

True Love

For 6 years, a dog named Capitan slept in the grave of his owner every night.

His owner, Miguel Guzman died in 2006 and Capitan disappeared shortly after the family attended the funeral services.

They searched everywhere and put out flyers to try and find him. But no one had seen him.

A week later, some people who were at the cemetery late one evening spotted Capitan laying on the grave and they contacted the grounds keeper at the cemetery.

The cemetery notified the family who promptly came to pick him up and take him home.

But each night he would cry and scratch frantically at the door to go out and he wouldn’t return home until morning.

It was later discovered that Capitan would walk the 3 miles back to the cemetery each night to guard his master’s grave.

It happened for 7 years.

The cemetery did not close the gates until he arrived each night promptly at 6 pm.

He slept there all night guarding the grave until the ground keeper opened the gate in the morning.

This is a true picture of Capitan here.
P.S. : If there is ever true love in this universe ❤️ this is it!!!

Just 4 Fun 4

For Me It’s
Book: Bible
Food: Chicken
TV Series: America’s Got Talent

My “Why” Is

Bible – with 66 books consisting of 31,102 verses in the KJV edition. I’ll have plenty of time to read and praying for guidance and interpretation.

Chicken – along with the vegetation on the island, I could make a variety of dishes.

America’s Got Talent – with 16 seasons and 369 episodes and lots of categories of talents, I’ll never get bored. I’ve only seen 3 episodes of the show.

What Are Your Choices And Why?

Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush.

Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

A Child Of Mine

I will lend you, for a little time,
A child of mine, He said.
For you to love the while he lives,
And mourn for when he’s dead.

It may be six or seven years,
Or twenty-two or three.
But will you, till I call him back,
Take care of him for Me?

He’ll bring his charms to gladden you,
And should his stay be brief.
You’ll have his lovely memories,
As solace for your grief.

I cannot promise he will stay,
Since all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught down there,
I want this child to learn.

I’ve looked the wide world over,
In search for teachers true.
And from the throngs that crowd life’s lanes,
I have selected you.

Now will you give him all your love,
Nor think the labour vain.
Nor hate me when I come
To take him home again?

I fancied that I heard them say,
‘Dear Lord, Thy will be done!’
For all the joys Thy child shall bring,
The risk of grief we’ll run.

We’ll shelter him with tenderness,
We’ll love him while we may,
And for the happiness we’ve known,
Forever grateful stay.

But should the angels call for him,
Much sooner than we’ve planned.
We’ll brave the bitter grief that comes,
And try to understand.

Cause I Love You – Lenny Williams

Leonard Charles Williams is an American singer-songwriter and musician, best known as the lead vocalist for the soul/funk group Tower of Power in the early 1970s.

As a solo artist, Williams made several hit recordings, including 1978’s “Cause I Love You” and 1977’s “Choosing You”.

Williams was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, and moved to Oakland, California, before the age of 1.

Learning to play the trumpet in elementary school fueled his interest in music; his skills as a vocalist were first nurtured by singing in gospel choirs and groups around the Bay Area.

He worked with several notable artists, such as Sly StoneAndraé CrouchBilly Preston and members of the Hawkins family, EdwinWalter and Tramaine.

Double Standards

The phrase also shames the victims for the abuser’s lack of respect and common sense.

The original intention of Dress How You Want to Be Addressed is to remind everyone that yes, people judge the book by its cover, but the connotation of it is to put down the worth of a woman.

Hearing someone use ‘dress how you want to be addressed’ as a defense for people who commit sexual harassment and assault is appalling and saddening.

By agreeing with this statement, you are continuing the blame game on women, putting victims of these heinous crimes down and siding with the abusers.

This horrendous statement also glorifies and feeds into our society’s ‘sex sells’ mentality where both women and men are used to sell things by glossing their bodies and removing their clothes.

For women, it’s a double-edged sword; on one hand, we have the world wanting us to dress sexy and show off our assets, but when we do and receive negative responses, both verbally and physically, it is somehow our fault.

Each person is unique and beautifully flawed. Know your worth and dress accordingly is my motto.

Don’t Waste Each Other’s Time

Not being relationship material means that this person is not ready nor willing to invest the effort necessary to initiate or to maintain a mutually beneficial romantic relationship.

You’re unhappy more often than you’re happy and if you feel anxious, sad or angry more often than you feel happy and positive, it may be time to let your relationship go.

You deserve (and likely will) find a relationship you’re happy in, so don’t waste your time and well-being in relationships that often make you feel bad.

Healthy Relationships

It is really easy to blame your choice of partners on “all men” or “all women” being the same. We are all different and unique. We all may possess some positive and negative qualities.

Unhealed people will treat you different from healed people. At some point, you have to look at the person in the mirror and ask the question, “why do I keep choosing the same type of partner?” You yourself may need healing.

In my opinion, there are two types of people (healed and unhealed):

One who will encourage you to the core and one who will discourage you to the core.

One who will keep all promises and one who will break all promises.

One will be a provider and die to protect you (men to women) and one will play with your heart and mind because he is coward.

One will be your supporter and be your place of peace (women to men) and one will play with your heart and mind because she is a coward.

Both of these cowards come from a place of not being healed and should not be in relationships until they are healed.

Physical And Psychological Scars

The tongue has a certain type of tissue that does not scar when it is torn.

I don’t care how many times you may bite your tongue and hurt yourself, God has fixed it so that the tongue can virtually repair itself, and when it does—it leaves no scar.

However, the only scar that the tongue could possibly leave is when you use tongue to speak against your brother or your sister—it doesn’t leave a physical scar, but it still leaves a scar.

Almost every one of us have some sort of physical scar on our bodies from sports wounds, surgical cuts, war wounds, or accidents, but what about the emotional scars?

All scars are not physical; it’s easy to see physical scars and wounds. You can see if they are old or new, or whether the wounds need to be stitched by a doctor or whether the use of a Band-Aid would be enough.

But emotional wounds and scars are not as easy to detect. Some emotional scars and wounds are in desperate need of treatment but have been ignored for years.

Ignoring these types of scars and wounds may result in serious psychological damage. It is important to not only recognize when you have emotional wounds but also know what is needed to heal the hurt.

Many of us hold on to situations, circumstances, thoughts, mindsets, and trauma long after it has become obvious we are still being damaged long after the event has occurred.

All because scars are like that, they are reminders of something unpleasant, they are reminders of hurt and pain, and they are reminders of our trials and tribulations. And sometimes they are even reminders of some sin in our lives.

Beyoncé & Tina Turner – Proud Mary

The two female artists look alike so much, especially while on stage, that one could say Tina is an earlier version of Beyoncé.

Besides Tina Turner, Beyoncé had also been inspired by Nina Simone, Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and the king of pop, Michael Jackson.

In the 50th GRAMMY Awards, which took place at The Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, in 2008, Beyoncé and the legend Tina Turner performed an emotional version of “Proud Mary”, Tina Turner had not performed in seven years before the Grammy Awards.

Tina Turner is an American-born Swiss singer and actress. Widely referred to as the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll”, she rose to prominence as the lead singer of the Ike and Tina Turner Revue before launching a successful career as a solo performer.

Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter is an American singer, songwriter, producer, and actress. Beyoncé performed in various singing and dancing competitions as a child.

She rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of Destiny’s Child, one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. Their hiatus saw the release of her debut album Dangerously in Love, which featured the US Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles “Crazy in Love” and “Baby Boy”.

Two Talented Legends

Every Situation Does Not Need A Response

In my opinion, if you post something on social media, you open the post up for discussion.

We shouldn’t complain if people don’t agree with what we post. We are entitled to our own opinions and beliefs.

If you don’t like responses, then don’t post on a public platform. Don’t take it personally, disagreeing with someone shouldn’t be an attack on you.

We are all different. We have different experiences in life. Therefore, our view point and outlook may be different.

What is posted shouldn’t make you get angry nor shouldn’t make you lose your peace by other comments.

Although, I have notice a lot of mean comments and people throwing shade instead of having civil (point of view) comments.

If a post bothers you that much, then read below:

Having Purpose Can Change Everything

Purpose can guide life decisions, influence behavior, shape goals, offer a sense of direction, and create meaning. For some people, purpose is connected to vocation—meaningful, satisfying work.

Feeling lost and purposeless? Don’t worry, you’re not alone.

Millions of people feel this way at some point in their life. But don’t despair, because there is hope.

You can find your purpose and change your life for the better. All you have to do is start looking for it.

So ask yourself, what are you passionate about? What makes you happy? What do you want to achieve?

Once you have an answer, start working towards it. It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it.

Find a career that uses your passions, your talents, and your abilities to inspire people, help others succeed, encourage people to feel happier, and lift people up.
